James-Grant, co-founder of the Five and Under World Championship, is a certified instructor, official, and ice technician through both USA Curling and the World Curling Federation. He has served in leadership roles involving event management, governance, and athlete development. He is also a four-time participant in the USA Curling 5-and-Under National Championship, giving him a firsthand understanding of the excitement and challenges faced by new competitors.
Under his leadership, the Championship has expanded its global reach, secured long-term host partnerships, and continues to create lasting opportunities for the next generation of curlers. For James-Grant, success is measured by more than medals. It is found in the friendships formed across borders, the confidence gained by first-time competitors, and the lasting memories created every time athletes come together to celebrate the sport they love.

Peachtree Curling Association
Matt, co-founder of the Five and Under Wold Championship, has been curling out of the Peachtree Curling Association in Atlanta, Georgia since he started in 2018. He competed in the USA 5U National Championships in 2022, 2023, and 2024 — finishing 4th in 2022 and reaching the quarterfinals in 2024. He enjoys competitive curling and has traveled to bonspiels all over the United States and Canada. His most memorable trip was to the Southern California Curling Center in 2022, where he qualified with Team Parks for his first national championship.

Adam has been curling out of California since he started in 2018. Starting 5U during his first full season as a curler, he soon joined Team Meyer to compete in the USA 5U Nationals in 2023 and 2024, earning the Silver medal before graduating from the category. He enjoys traveling to meet curlers everywhere, having played coast-to-coast in the States, as well as in Canada, Scotland, Iceland, and Italy.

Jeanette Wood joined the 5U Worlds Board as the Canadian in the room bringing a love of curling, a few extra “ehs,” and the belief that adult beginners deserve more opportunities to compete. After discovering curling in 2022, she’s been passionate about helping grow the sport for curlers of all ages.
